Turkish Toast

Droppings of ricotta cheese in pasta and pizza are great, but what happens when the rest of the box is still sitting in the fridge? I’ve struggled with finding a good use for ricotta cheese, until this recipe. It’s simple, light and full of flavor. It’s best with artisan bread, which can easily become a gourmet brunch with mimosas or a nice cup of herbal tea on a weekend. Use any nuts you have on hand, I used walnuts. I envision making this again and going extra with flower petals or edible flowers.
